Having studied minerals, the rock cycle and weathering in Chemistry in the past term they learnt about the geology of this area and collected evidence about organisms of the past which remained there as fossils.  The second activity of the day was linked to ecology, which the students will study in Biology this term. They collected data about dry grassland ecosystem and wetland ecosystem and had fun collecting water invertebrates for water quality test.
