Sculpture “Life”

31 May 2018

My model was inspired by Alexander Calde’s one line sculptures, and I repeated his technique of continuing the line and not cutting the wire. I called my sculpture “Life ”.

  • sculpture

It depicts a young girl and it symbolizes her goals, dreams but also limitations that stop her from achieving them. The goals and fears are represented by the words I have placed in her eyes and mouth. The spherical shape of the statue represents the constant endeavours of the girl to achieve what really matters to her. The sculpture is best viewed from all angles, as each angle gives you a different perspective.
