Thirteen year 10 students will be awarded with their Bronze level certificate and pin for completing at least 3 months of consistent effort to improve in Physical recreation, Skills and Service area achieving the goals they have set for themselves. These students have also undertaken two 2-day long expeditions on foot or on water, where they had to develop their ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, care, and take responsibility in order to successfully complete their journey.
There are also 12 students, mostly from Year 11, who have successfully completed their Silver level Award by working on their skills, fitness and thoughtfulness for at least 6 months, and completing two 3-day long journeys. Joshua Marriott and Jules Smekens will deliver a short speech about their Award experience and talk about their sea-kayaking expedition in Croatia.
We will have 2 guest speakers. One of them Mr Peter Kristofovic, who knows very well the importance of setting goals and then be perseverant in efforts to achieve them. He will also Award the Bronze participants
Our other guest speaker, H.E. Mr. Andrew Garth, who has now awarded many young people in Slovakia and understands all the qualities and skills the Award is helping to develop in young people, will be awarding the Silver Participants their certificate and pin.
It is a delight to have so many engaged young people at our school that we can award, and an honour that we can host such a ceremony on our school grounds.
