Our day started with a visit to the Vienna Time Travel Museum. The Time Travel Museum offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about the history and traditions of Vienna. The highlight of the museum was the 5D cinema where we could travel in time and visit places like Stefansdom and the medieval streets during the plague and experience them through the perspective of a rat. An audience with the Habsburgs, a visit to a real bomb shelter, musical virtual reality show, the spooky black plague tomb, and a carriage ride through Vienna made the impression even stronger.
We rounded out our morning in the Rosenberger restaurant next to Albertina where we had lunch. We enjoyed the massive portions of Schitzel and the Sacher style chocolate cake.
After lunch we enjoyed the festive Christmas atmosphere of the Christmas market next to the Museum where everybody could try out some special goodies like Lebkuchen, Maroni or buy some small presents for friends and family. The children enjoyed opulent Christmas decoration in the streets and time spent with their friends.
