She set herself high goals for all 3 sections of her Award and successfully completed them all. For physical recreation she completed her first Dan in karate. She also worked for a year consistently to improve her drawing and make it look realistic. And for service, she chose to give something back into the school community, becoming a knowledgeable and inspirational award leader for 2 generations of Bronze participants and students who attended school clubs.
During her adventurous journey she has conquered the Tatranská Magistrala, which is a tough 42km hiking trail that runs from the White Tatras (the northeast section of the High Tatras) through the High Tatras themselves to the western edge of the Western Tatras and the Western Tatras ridge.
Ellie is interested in studying astrophysics. Her assessor for the Adventurous Journey, IML Marcel Kubinsky just happens to know the staff at the observatory in Tatranska Lomnica of Slovak Academy of Sciences, where he also serves as a volunteer mountain rescuer. Through her journey Ellie found an excellent opportunity not only for her residential project to complete her final section of her Gold Award but she also gained invaluable experience in the field she wishes to pursue in her university studies and career
