In Years 12 and 13, our students embark on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, a two-year course of study culminating, if successful, in the awarding of the IB Diploma, awarded in July. This qualification is a passport to further and higher education around the world.
Incorporated into the programme of the IB Diploma Programme is a series of lessons with our University and Careers Guidance Counsellor, focusing on university applications. These lessons will take the students right through the process of thinking about their possible futures and priorities in life, researching university options around the world, writing personal statements, applying to universities and preparing for university life. We support guide and applications to universities around the world.
The University and Careers Guidance Counsellor will in most circumstances write the student’s reference for their university applications – drawn from statements made by subject teachers - and help the student draft their personal statement. Many of our students go on to study in the UK but we provide guidance and support for students applying to any country in the world. This includes arranging SATs for American universities.
