Year 3B Class Teacher
Alison Fegyveres was born in Leicester, UK and completed a degree in Home Economics. Alison was a teacher of English as a Foreign Language for several years both in the UK and in Slovakia before successfully completing her PGCE with Sunderland University.
Year 3C Class Teacher
I studied at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. After graduation, I worked in inner city schools in the north of England before leaving to take up a post in Bucharest, Romania. My next place of work was Kenya where I taught Year 4 and 6 as well as coaching cricket, rugby and hockey. I was also dorm tutor for the senior boys. Wanting a fresh challenge, I came to Bratislava.
Teaching and Learning Assistant Year 3
I started teaching English as a Foreign Language during my last year of Postgraduate studies in Ukraine. I got my degree and moved to Kiev, where I taught English to both children and adults. I also completed a Master's degree in English Linguistics there. Five years ago, I moved to Vienna where I continued my education and then eventually to Bratislava where I continued teaching.
Year 4A Class Teacher
I graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in linguistics and went to China to teach English. On my return to the UK, I completed my PGCE with Newcastle University and I taught in London for 2 years.
Year 4B Class Teacher
I studied at Glasgow Caledonian University where I achieved a BA (Hons) Degree in Social Sciences majoring in Psychology. I then completed my PGDE at the University of Glasgow. As a keen traveller, I am excited about living in Bratislava and exploring the history and landmarks that the city has to offer.
Year 4C Class Teacher & Years 3-4 Phase Leader
After completing my M.A. at Aberdeen University I worked for The British Council, The University of the West of England and Icon Films. I then completed my P.G.C.E. at the University of the West of England and then started teaching in London for Westminster Council. I then went to teach in Alexandria, Egypt for 2 years and then to Modern English School, Cairo for 7 years.
Teaching and Learning Assistant Year 4
Having successfully completed university teaching qualification, having taught for several years young people and adults in Slovakia, having spent couple of years in England, having had an English Early Years teaching experience; I can say my passions are helping children to build their everyday confidence and putting my English to good use. It is vital to widen my horizons in an international teaching environment now as I work here.
