Head of Key Stage 3 (STEAM Coordinator)

After completing a Physics degree in Queens University Belfast, I went on to study for the intensive Cambridge CELTA course, teaching English as a foreign language.  It was my first teaching experience and I was hooked!

A year after this I moved to Liverpool, where I spent the first 6 years of my career working in a large state comprehensive school.  My experiences and memories of the school and my students will live with me for a lifetime and it was here that I discovered my true calling in education, Inquiry Based Learning.

From there I moved to Shanghai and began re-designing the KS3 Science Curriculum to make it both relevant and accessible to the students.  2 years on and my wife and I were expecting our 1st child, so it was off to Istanbul and on with sharing the Inquiry learning in a whole new setting.

My motto is "Science is Life" and I believe the questions we ask, rather than the answers we give, determines success.  So, I am looking forward to igniting a lot of curiosity in Bratislava!
