Catherine Keep

Year 6B Class Teacher

I completed my degree in Business and Management at Aston University in the UK. After this, I joined the Children’s Services team at East Sussex County Council and then went on to complete my PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church University. Since then I have taught in big, small and tiny schools!

Before joining BISB, I worked at a school in Kent in the countryside surrounded by fields, horses and ducks! Here, I taught Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. I was responsible for leading languages at the school but also really enjoyed developing ICT and using it in lessons in exciting way. I ran a number of clubs from Stoolball Club (a game similar to cricket and rounders!) to Woodland Club where we explored nature and had fun whatever the weather!

Now, I am starting my journey at Nord Anglia and BISB which I am hugely excited for! I am excited to join the children on their journey throughout Year 5 as they approach the top end of Primary.

Back in the UK, I absolutely loved playing netball with my team where I played Goal Defence. I will definitely miss the game and the matches and will be on the lookout for a team here! I also enjoy running so I am excited to find new running routes along the Danube and Forest Park here in Bratislava. Another hobby of mine is travelling, with a firm favourite being Scandinavia. Hopefully now I am in the centre of Europe, I will be able to explore lots more new countries – I already have my eye on visiting Budapest!
