Lyn Stanley

Key Stage 4 and 5 Leader

Having completed my BSc (hons) Biology degree at the University of Newcastle and my PGCE at Durham University I began teaching at a school in the UK specialized for students with social and emotional difficulties. It was this experience that showed me the importance of Pastoral Care within a school. A quote I was introduced to, and I now live by, “Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Since my time in the UK, I have pursued my passion for Pastoral Care as a Head of House in Prague and a Head of Year in Shanghai.

I am a passionate Biology teacher and I constantly try to pass this passion on to my students by using innovative and creative teaching strategies.

During my spare time I enjoy working out, walking with my 3 rescue dogs and playing with my 20 month old daughter. I am excited to experience all that Slovakia has to offer.
