British International School Bratislava_Director of Sports, Julliard Dance and Secondary Clubs Coordinator_Lauren Kenny

Director of Sport, Julliard Dance and Secondary Clubs Coordinator

I joined BISB from an International School in Kenya where I was Head of PE, delivering PE through Early Years to Year 13.

Previously I was a PE Teacher and Head of House at NAIS of Hong Kong, a school judged to be 'Outstanding' by the British Overseas Inspection team. I trained to be a teacher at the University of Edinburgh and have taught in schools both in Edinburgh and Glasgow to Secondary students for 7 years. I have also introduced Sports Leadership Awards and Qualifications to three different schools in my career as a PE Teacher and delivering this course is a huge passion of mine.

I love long distance running competing in various half marathons in Asia. I enjoy being active as much as possible through fitness type classes and dance. I also am keen on Scottish Social Dance, as a social and energetic dance form and look forward to potentially introducing this to students in Bratislava. I have travelled extensively around America and Asia and I am very excited to live and work in a European city.
