Everyday life for children at Collège Champittet is an enjoyable and rich experience from both an academic and a personal point of view.

Christian faith at school

Collège Champittet is a Catholic private school and the education we provide is based on Christian values. Our school allows the Catholic students who wish it to deepen their faith and receive the sacraments of Christian life.

  • Baptême et 1ère communion

The various activities are aimed primarily at Catholic children but are open to any children no matter their religion who want to better understand the Christian faith or prepare for baptism. Catechism courses reflect this reality and enrich the relationship between children, but always with respect for the cultural and religious diversity of the school.

During their time at Collège Champittet, Catholic students may take part in Catechism which represents a deepening of Christian life and requires the students' personal involvement. Other students follow Religious Cultures courses which explain the different world religions. These courses are part of the compulsory curriculum and are assessed as such.

On the occasion of celebrations or liturgical times during the school year, masses are offered to students. All students enrolled in Catechism attend these Masses.

Preparation for the sacraments (Baptism and First Communion) is of great importance and deeply contributes to the spiritual development of our students.

Retreats are a time of discovery, sharing, friendship and prayer and enable participants to explore the importance of the Christian faith in their lives.
