Trip to Tanzania

On 1st February, two students will travel to Tanzania joining students from other Nord Anglia Education schools for a humanitarian and cultural trip.
  • Voyage en Tanzanie

Charles, 13th Maturity, and Maurine, 14th Maturity, will travel with Mr Sykes, geography and history teacher.

In preparation of their trip they asked each secondary class to fundraise 60CHF, thereby turning their trip into a project involving the whole school community. The funds will be used to renovate a primary school which they will visit during their stay, as well as to improve local families’ autonomy by giving them a cattle of goats.

In Tanzania, they will help renovate a school which welcomes more than a thousand students, and they will also teach some classes. The team will also experience and discover the culture of the country by visiting the island of Zanzibar: the spice market, the city of Zanzibar and take part in an aquatic safari.
