Theatre night at Collège Champittet

A wonderful, dramatic showcase of all the wolf fairy tales was shown by the 9e on May 28th in the Salle de Gym.

The verdict was passed, and it proved that there is a kind and forgiving audience here at Collège Champittet - in all three jury cases, the wolf was found innocent!  The court heard from a variety of eye-witnesses from different cases: from Twilight and White Fang, to Romulus and Remus, The Three Little Pigs and Red Riding Hood.

  • Le procès du loup

Year 9 worked particularly hard all year on this project and their hard work it seemed was evident from the very positive reception from the audience.

The interpretation of the different sides of the wolf’s story were aptly made clear and special mention should be given to the wolves who gave a very convincing performance. The good wolf was clearly impassioned and the bad wolf, excellently mysterious, which helped to create some doubt in the mind of the audience, at times!

The acting on stage was perfectly supported by a group of very talented musicians, who also helped to set the different genres of the stories between each hearing. Excellent vocals were given and really added to the overall performance.

Wonderful photographs and clever artwork were also on display on the night, and showcased the excellent talent that we have here at the Collège. Well done to all involved.

We would especially like to thank all the students, from the theatre atelier, the art and photography atelier, as well as the music atelier and their teachers, for all the hard work they have done this year.  We would also like to thank other members of staff and direction who also gave support in many ways to the production and smooth running of the show, even behind the scenes!

And a massive thank you also to all the parents, friends and family who supported the students, helped with costumes and of course everyone who came to enjoy the show. Hopefully, we will see you all again next year for an even BIGGER and even BETTER production!
