Trip to Japan

The trip to Japan was a great experience, both from a personal and cultural point of view. We discovered a country full of contrasts from megacities such as Tokyo to typical villages such as Shibi, Kyoto's modern buildings and its ancestral temples to the mountains of northern Hokkaido and seaside beaches south of Okinawa.

Students were introduced to a different culture and mentality. At the end of the stay, they had learnt the codes and customs of Japanese society. This trip is a great opportunity to open up to another culture and share unique moments such as cultural exchange with the children of Ibusuki and their Taiko concert, tea ceremonies, traditional banquets, volcanic or sand baths, purification rituals in temples or meditation in zen gardens. We would like to thank Mr. Kono for organising this wonderful trip.
