Gathering the school’s alumni for a moment of friendship, it’s a tradition at Champittet! Two important Fridays in this month of November, the fondue and the aperitif of 50 years of Matu!
Friday, November 9th at 6:30pm, we were a hundred Champitteans to meet for a friendly drink at Café 1903 that was followed by a small speech from the director and a fondue half, half in the dining hall of the school. About fifteen active and retired teachers came to meet former students. This friendly event is very popular with alumni who come back regularly. A small novelty came to spice up this edition; each table had to prepare its own fondue on the stove, a small playful and friendly challenge that was positively welcomed and animated the meal. One question remains: Which table made the best fondue?
On November 16th, it was the aperitif of the 1968 Matu at café 1903, where around twenty alumni came, accompanied by one of their own that became a Canon and one of their teachers that is now almost 100 years old to commemorate with a drink and some snacks. A beautiful example of lasting friendship. Did you know that at that time, 50% of Champittet's students chose the medical pathway?
