Parent workshop “Inquiry in Classrooms: An Introduction to IB”

Our parent workshop series resumed recently, with our latest in the programme specially designed to answer a number of recent questions from parents. Our MYP Coordinator Mr. Jarrett Brown hosted the latest parent workshop at the W hotel last week. The workshop was well attended by over 40 parents. This workshop was focusing on Inquiry and Introduction to the IB.  Mr. Brown oversees the IB Middle Years Programme from Year 7 to 11 at LIS and makes sure we deliver a high standard of teaching to all our students. Mr. Brown holds a master’s degree in Secondary Education and brings his wealth of 14 years’ teaching experience to LIS. He is also an IB consultant and Team Leader for Asia IBO. 

We would like to again express our appreciation for all the support from our parents and the Léman Family Association. We have planned to organise more parent workshops after the Chinese New Year. The purpose of our programme is to equip parents with skills and tools to better support their children’s learning at home so that our students are better prepared for the modern world.
