Design & Technology Master Classes

31 March 2014

Regents' Design and Technology Department runs GCSE and IB Master Classes to offer students time to develop their coursework and further their understanding of the project design process. Students get the chance to go through each aspect of their coursework thoroughly with guidance from DT teachers Mr Biggs and Mr Daly, receiving one to one mentoring and direction through the process of product realisation.

"I have found this activity to be a major help as the availability of resources and extra time has made a monumental difference to our coursework outcome as opposed to working on them solely during lessons and at home. We have been able to enhance our modeling and testing in preparation for the big final make, developing our understanding of key design requirements which are individual to our own projects, as well as helping us to be more independent and accurate. Besides developing compulsory factors of our projects, we also learn quite a bit more about the subject as a whole; taking new-found knowledge about DT itself and incorporating it into our work." Zorbia, Year 11
