This trip was an amazing chance for students and teachers to gain some memories and IDEALS experiences through the activities and trips that they go through. Although there was soggy weather on the first day of the trip, the participants did not let this ruin their mood. Their hike up Greenwich Park gave them a view of London which has stunned the students and teachers with its stunning view.
Our London tourists also visited South Bank, The London Dungeons, the amazing Tower of London and finished the evening with watching an amazing performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream. One of the most enjoyable experiences for the students was the firework show at night. They all marveled at the fireworks that lit up the night sky, many of the students described the fireworks as magnificent. They also travelled from Oxford Street to Theatre Land to watch 'Everyone's Talking About Jamie' at the Apollo Theatre. Described by Ms Rudden as “Absolutely Brilliant”.
They spent their last day exploring the artistic and cultural area of the East End. They even had a look at was an original Banksy artwork! They finished their day with some delicious Vietnamese food in Shoreditch before travelling back to Thailand.
Ms. Rudden commented on the students’ engagement while visiting a museum or a theatre. The students are keen on letting their friends back at home know all their experiences and opinions on the trip, there is no doubt that their views on the trip are positive!
The benefits of this trip have most likely ignited a passion for live performance and art as well as appreciation of the diversity present in London. The excitement and engagement of the students made this trip especially unique and inspiring.
