On Tuesday 14th December, Ms Wendy Spence (Head of Key Stage 4) delivered a workshop on how to support Year 11 students preparing for their IGCSE exams and upcoming important dates for the mock exams in January and the final exams in May/June.

Ms Wendy stressed parents could support their children by:

  • Helping students keep track of their exam schedule
  • Ensuring students get enough sleep (in bed before 11pm approx.)
  • Creating a positive study environment
  • Creating a routine (e.g dinner at the same time)
  • Making sure students take short, regular breaks
  • Being sensitive and respecting they will be going through some stress and anxiety
  • Hold students accountable
  • Praising their efforts
  • Making sure students attend school every day and are punctual

Lastly students may attend booster sessions from 3:15pm-4pm EVERY day after school (on a fortnightly schedule). The schedule of the sessions will be updated in January 2022.
