Principal Receives Prestigious Education Award in Uzbekistan

The British School of Tashkent is immensely proud to announce that our Principal, Dr Andre Nel, has been honoured with a prestigious award by the Ministry of Education in Uzbekistan. This recognition reflects his remarkable dedication and efforts towards the advancement of education in the country. 

Dr Andre attended the award ceremony where Uzbekistan’s leading educators were acknowledged for their contributions to the field. During the ceremony, Dr Andre was presented with a medal from both the President's office and the Ministry of Education.

Dr Andre brings a wealth of teaching and leadership experience from across the globe, having held three headships prior to joining The British School of Tashkent in 2020 as Principal. 

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, he played a key role in spearheading a dual curriculum, enabling students to combine all mandatory subjects from the Uzbek curriculum with the British curriculum. This allows local students at the school to benefit from both educational systems.
