Delicious Dessert from Romania

Delicious Dessert from Romania

500 gr fresh cottage cheese
100 gr sugar
2 eggs
1 quarter teaspoon baking soda

Vanilla essence
200 gr of flour
Sour cream

Method of preparation:

Mix the cheese with the sugar and baking soda. Then add the eggs and the vanilla essence, and finally the flour.
Heat a lot of oil in a deep pot.
Balls with the size of the inside of the fist are formed from the dough.
Pierce the ball with your finger in the center, then pass the formed donut through the flour.
Slightly enlarge the hole in the middle and flatten a little the coil obtained.
From the same dough form small balls (which will be placed on top of the rolls).
Turn on the heat and fry the “papanashi” on both sides until they turn golden brown (about 5 minutes). Same with the balls.
Serve with sour cream and jam.
About 25-30 “papanashi” come out of this composition.
