Unsung Hero – Ms Adelya Ganeeva Ms Adelya is 22 and has been working at BST for almost two years. Prior to working at the school, she worked for a company that installed finance system One C at other organisations. This is where her love of finance processes and systems was sparked and her role at BST is her first one working in an actual Finance Department in an organsation.

Ms Adelya is 22 and has been working at BST for almost two years. Prior to working at the school, she worked for a company that installed finance system One C at other organisations. This is where her love of finance processes and systems was sparked and her role at BST is her first one working in an actual Finance Department in an organsation.

Ms Adelya loves order and therefore balancing the books at BST is the ideal job. Even at home she likes for everything to be neat and organized. Ms Adelya is one of the smartest young people our Finance team have come across. As well as a full-time job, Ms Adelya is currently undertaking a Bachelors of Finance at Telyatti State University, pursuing professional accountancy qualifications (in February she passed a Certified Chief Accountant’s exam with flying colours) and taking English lessons so that she can be multilingual and communicate with Nord Anglia colleagues across the world.

Ms Adelya’s motivation stems from her need to do a variety of things and challenge herself. She love learning and overcoming challenges; each time she succeeds in acquiring new knowledge or a skill she then wants to progress and gain even more. This enables her to be excellent at her work and gives her immense job satisfaction.

In her spare time, Adelya loves relaxing with her tortoiseshell cat Meg and chatting to her maternal cousins who are 18 and 24. Ms Adelya’s family are all Tartars and originally came to Uzbekistan in 1966 to help out following the Great Earthquake. They then found work in the country and have called Uzbekistan their home ever since.

Ms Adelya’s hidden talent is dancing. As Ms Adelya is quite shy, dance allows her to truly express herself. She is currently taking Salsa lessons as she loves this exotic and exciting dance and it’s a perfect de-stressor during busy work periods.
