As part of Nord Anglia Education's online learning platform 'Global Campus', students from across the world have access to a wealth of innovative and exciting resources, one of which is 'GC World Tour'. Each school can elect a group of volunteers to produce a short film introducing their country (or city) as well as some relevant cultural activities. In turn, other schools from around the world can view these fabulous videos and try their hand at the cultural activities once they are published on Global Campus.
When presented with the opportunity to represent Uzbekistan on the world stage, BST jumped at the opportunity.
Mrs. Gulmira and some keen volunteers from Year 5 stepped up to the plate and really rose to the challenge. Two students were chosen to organise and present some key information about Uzbekistan and ended up delivering a speech for our video. In this video, they also explained the cultural significance of Navruz. Over the course of the next few weeks, Mrs Gulmira and our dedicated communications team worked hard to showcase footage from our school's Navruz celebrations, compiling some terrific footage. In addition, a cultural activity linked to Navruz was produced with the help of our students.
The resulting materials have been a great success and can now be viewed on the Global Campus platform.
