Tanzania Team of 2017/18 exceeded their fundraising target!

Congratulations to the Tanzania Team of 2017/18 who have now exceeded their fundraising target! 

Each student who takes part in the annual expedition must pay for their own travel expenses and fundraise to contribute a further $300. 

This year the money will go directly to the communities that Nord Anglia works with in Tanzania to buy the building materials to create a centre for children with special needs, solar panels, smokeless stoves, goats and goat sheds. These things are all greatly needed and deeply appreciated by these communities. 

This year, the team of twelve Y9 and Y10 students raised the funds by selling refreshments and art at the International Festival, organising two art auctions of the Big Draw paintings, serving refreshments at the IB Options Evening and Winter Concert, and collecting sponsorships before running the BBGV Fun Run! 

We are very proud of them for showing such care and commitment to such a worthwhile cause.
