Mrs Sarah Wild Weekly Update 10/6/2016

10 June 2016

Over the past week, many extra-curricular activities have taken place. Some Year 11s were on Duke of Edinburgh, completing their Silver Award, an incredible trip and achievement.

They showed real commitment and teamwork to succeed in very demanding circumstances. I am very proud of them and how they represented the school (see Mr Nick’s article and photos)

Last weekend, the Year 10 Geography students also went on their Geography fieldtrip and achievement a significant amount of work for their IGCSE (see Mr Phil’s article).

On Monday evening, the auditions also took place for the Secondary music competition. The level was extremely high and Ms Pogson and the other judges were extremely impressed. It was a hard one to nominate those who were to go through the final, which will take place on Monday 20th of June at school.

This week, we have also welcomed back our Year 11s who have been able to finally enjoy an alternative programme, now that their examinations are over. (see Mr Dale’s article)
