This term, Year 2 have been learning about water in IPC lessons and this has tied in very well with World Water Day on 22 March 2017. To mark World Water Day, celebrated annually since 1993 on 22nd March, Year 2 celebrated this event with lots of great activities. The activities not only helped the students to understand more about water but also to increase their awareness of the importance of clean water in nature, to keep our bodies healthy, and for good hygiene and disease prevention.
All Year 2 students and staff wore white or blue clothes and participated in fun games, art and craft lessons and writing creative stories all about water. Children made water hats and went on a treasure hunt, following clues to find their cookie treasure; they made water cycle wheels and also learned the words to a new song explaining the process of the water cycle.
Thien Chau told teachers “I feel so excited to join so many fun activities about water!” What a lovely event!
