Katie Egan

Katie 2021

Year 4 Teacher

  • Bachelor of Education, Mary Immaculate College, Co. Limerick, Ireland.

Katie is a passionate Primary teacher who has been teaching for five years. Katie graduated in 2016 and in her first year, undertook the role as an EAL teacher where she taught English to children from different countries. She gained a wide knowledge base working with children from different linguistic backgrounds and is excited to put this experience to practise again In Vietnam. Katie then went on to work as a primary classroom teacher for the next four years, working with a variety of age groups and abilities.

Outside of school, Katie enjoys spending time with friends, walking and exploring new places and reading. Katie teaches the flute, piano and musical theory to children and enjoys developing their musical talents. She has conducted school choirs and played the piano for school concerts. Katie has a love for travel and experiencing new cultures. She looks forward to immersing herself in the Vietnamese culture and taking on new teaching experiences.
