Belarani Kanjee

Maths Teacher

  • BSc (Hons) Applied Mathematics, University of Cape Town, SA
  • PGCE (Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy), Rhodes University, SA

Belarani has an affinity for problem solving as well as using creative approaches to make mathematics exciting. She educates through real-life examples, in the hopes that abstract concepts can be easily understood for her students. After graduating, she gained experience in teaching students in Grade 8 up until Matric (secondary education exit level in South Africa). She has also been selected for three consecutive years to mark the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) Matric mathematics examinations. Additionally she taught Cambridge IGCSE prior to her move, whilst engaging in extra-curricular activities such as Environmental Club and the President Award Programme.

When Belarani is not the classroom, she can be found on the road, training for half-marathons or on the dance floor, learning new moves.
