Since graduating in 2014, Katy has taught in both independent and state schools. Katy endeavors to be a positive role-model, encouraging students to challenge themselves, take risks where appropriate, and ultimately, aspire to achieve to the best of their abilities. Katy is keen to further develop her knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues; and strives to change attitudes to matters surrounding plastic consumption, race and immigration.
In her spare time, Katy likes to try new things. In 2019, she spent her summer farming pigs in France. She travelled to Vietnam in 2017, initially teaching English and is very excited to return. Katy also enjoys running and trying new foods and is looking forward to improving her Vietnamese language skills.
