NEW YORK – The Cosmos Wednesday announced the launch of “Cosmos Futsal,” the first Manhattan-based soccer school in partnership with the NAISNY, the private elementary school located in New York’s East Village.

Taught by Cosmos players and their coaching staff, the 2013 North American Soccer League champions, registration for Cosmos Futsal is open and available to all children in kindergarten through sixth Grade.

“The New York Cosmos are a New York City team born and raised so we’re excited to partner with the NAISNY to help develop the next generation of soccer players in the U.S., especially those from this great city,” Cosmos chief operating officer Erik Stover said in a statement.

Based at the NAISNY on 44 East 2nd Street in Manhattan’s East Village, Cosmos Futsal offers three hour-long sessions as well as weekend pick-up games for. Ten sessions, taught by players and coaches, will cost $280 and are open to the community. Families can register at www.nycosmostdp.com.
