World-Class Collaborations at NAISNY

By being a part of Nord Anglia Education, all NAISNY students, starting at age 2, have the unique experience of a rigorous education paired with our three global collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF.  

Nord Anglia's collaboration with The Juilliard School brings a world-class, performing arts education to students across the globe. Here, in New York, our students participate in workshops both on our campus and at The Juilliard School of Performing Arts. NAISNY students and teachers have access to Juilliard's curriculum and teaching resources, giving them the opportunity to learn from world-renowned artists and performers. This collaboration inspires creativity and helps students develop their artistic talents. We see their confidence grow and they become skilled at presenting and articulating their ideas, both on and off stage.

Our partnership with UNICEF helps students understand the importance of social responsibility and global citizenship. Through various programs and initiatives, students learn about important issues facing the world today, such as poverty, climate change, and inequality. They are encouraged to take action and positively impact their communities and beyond. Recently, NAISNY students raised money for the victims of the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria by making sustainable products to sell to our community. They had products from plants and soil, carefully folded origami decorations, upcycled LEGO keyrings and charms, and lavender-scented bags. We find that children feel empowered when taking the initiative to support others who may need support locally but also globally. Our eldest students have an opportunity to travel to Tanzania where they get a chance to experience a different learning environment and culture broadening their global understanding.

Nord Anglia's collaboration with MIT provides students with access to cutting-edge technology and innovation. Students have the opportunity to work with MIT researchers and faculty, participate in robotics competitions, and attend workshops to develop their coding and engineering skills. This collaboration inspires students to think creatively and develop solutions to real-world problems. At NAISNY our MIT lead collaborates with professors at MIT to set our students a range of stimulating challenges. From designing a Pet Pack with a challenge to improve social interaction between humans and dogs, to building a wind tunnel and monitoring rainwater as a study of extreme weather. These tasks expose students to different perspectives, cultures, and ways of thinking, helping them develop a global mindset and preparing them for success in a world connected through technology.

Nord Anglia's global collaborations also provide teachers with professional development opportunities, allowing them to learn from field experts and bring new skills and knowledge back to their classrooms. This collaboration helps teachers stay up-to-date with the latest educational trends and best practices, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality and well-rounded education.
