Our lower secondary curricula
International Middle Years Curriculum (Year 7-9)
The International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) supports our students’ transition from primary to lower secondary education. At this vital stage in their development, the IMYC offers a holistic education that encourages exploration and discovery, nurtures individual talents, and provides rigorous academic teaching in specialist subjects.
In our supportive learning environment, your child will:
- Enjoy learning in small groups and receive personalised instruction tailored to their needs.
- Learn the importance of teamwork and effective communication.
- Become a motivated, inquiring young learner with a deep understanding of the core subjects.
- Explore their sense of self and place in the world, helping them to develop a global outlook.
- Extend their learning beyond the classroom, going on trips in and around Rotterdam and The Netherlands.
NAISR Pre-IB Curriculum (Year 10-11)
Our NAISR Pre-IB Curriculum is specifically designed to prepare our students for the challenges of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or NAISR High School Diploma at 16.
Our bespoke programme:
- Inspires students to learn in different ways through themed projects and activities that span specialist subjects.
- Reinforces the importance of culture, identity, and a sense of self.
- Creates opportunities for students to collaborate, demonstrating the value of teamwork.
- Develops awareness of global themes and issues, encouraging our students to see things from different perspectives and embrace diversity.
- Prepares our students for the challenge of exams and assessments.
