At Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam, we offer outstanding enrichment opportunities that inspire our students to reach for their dreams, showcase their talents, and do what they love. This includes our after-school activity programme, where your child can join our sports teams, pursue their passion for the creative arts, and learn new skills.

Skill Development Sessions
Our Skill Development Sessions are formal after-school tutorials, where students receive extra academic support. We offer a choice of either group – which support between three and five students – or private sessions.
Clubs
We offer a range of activities – from yoga and ballet to our Lego and eco clubs – that give students the chance to follow their interests, try something different, and develop their confidence.
Athletics
We run a variety of athletics activities, including an inter-school sports programme. Our volleyball and basketball teams compete against schools in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Music
Our diverse music programme gives students the opportunity to join an orchestra, band, or choir, or learn an instrument.
Out-of-school care (BSO)
Children aged 4 to 12 can join our after-school and holiday care programme, Funtazia. To register or find out more, please contact the Funtazia team at: bso@funtazia.nl.

New After-School Clubs - Starting in October
We're excited to introduce a full lineup of new after-school clubs, giving students hands-on opportunities in science, storytelling, filmmaking, nature study, and robotics. Each programme runs in weekly sessions and gives students a chance to explore, create, and share what they've learned.
Science Club (Ages 6-10)
Students explore science through fun, competitive challenges, from navigating magnetic mazes to launching marble roller coasters, racing homemade paddle boats, engineering giant bubbles, and investigating pH with red cabbage juice. Framed as playful challenges rather than lectures, each session encourages real experimental thinking: predicting outcomes, testing ideas, and figuring out why something worked.
Price: €25 per session (Including Materials)
Stop Motion Studio (Ages 8–11)
Working in small teams, students research a real-world question, like "how does a seed become a tree?" or "where does Rotterdam's rubbish go?", then write a storyboard, build characters and sets, and film a short stop-motion animation frame by frame. Students rotate through roles as animator, photographer, set designer, and narrator, and the term ends with a screening for families, where each team fields questions about their research and choices.
Price: €25 per session (Including Materials)
Note: students' faces will only appear on camera with written parental consent; the films themselves feature students' models, hands, and voices.
Our Tree Book (Ages 6–7)
Young students adopt four or five trees on the school grounds and study them over the term, collecting bark rubbings, leaf prints, and pressed leaves, drawing each tree, and discovering which animals depend on it. Their work becomes a class book, with one chapter per tree. At the showcase, students lead their families on a guided tree trail around the school grounds, presenting what they discovered at each stop.
Price: €18 per session
Students will need a coat and suitable outdoor shoes on session days.
STEM Works: Robotics & Engineering Club (Ages 6–12)
This hands-on programme blends practical experiments, engineering challenges, and robotics sessions to build curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Students will work with dedicated robotics kits alongside consumable materials for a range of experiments, all led by professional instructors in a structured, safe environment.
Price: €40 per session (Including materials)
Story Club (Ages 4–6)
Every session begins with a story, read aloud together with a tutor, and that's just the starting point. From there, students dive straight into the tale through playful, hands-on follow-up activities: acting out their favorite scenes, taking on characters' voices, or trying a simple hands-on experiment inspired by that day's story. By blending imaginative play with discovery, the club builds early literacy, vocabulary, and confidence in a way that always feels like play rather than a lesson.
