Students in the IB programs are busy students and at Northbridge International School Cambodia we are no different. In fact I would venture to say with our great school culture and community our students are even busier! What with not only classroom school work but also the great CAS opportunities we offer and the large array of sports, that all students want to be involved in. This being the case, time management is crucial for our students.

On Tuesday 4 June, Northbridge International School Cambodia held its annual Creativity Night, a celebration of our students' amazing artistic talent. The evening included a Visual Art Exhibition in the Secondary Cafeteria, followed by music and dance performances in the Primary Cafeteria.
Academic year 2018-2019 was full of interesting learning experiences in all our Science courses at Northbridge International School Cambodia. Students had the opportunity to learn and strengthen their scientific skills through the activities that teachers in the Science department guided in their classes. Now that the year is coming to an end, we look back at some moments and activities to celebrate Science at Northbridge.
On 25 May, a group of Grade 10 Northbridge International School Cambodia students hosted ten pupils supported by NGO CHOICE Cambodia to a trip to Phnom Penh Safari World.
Last weekend officially marked the end of Season 3 and the 2018-2019 athletic year. Our Northbridge International School Cambodia Junior Volleyball teams traveled to Ho Chi Minh City to complete in the ASAC tournament hosted by ISHCMC. Overall both teams ended the season with the same records only losing to two opponents all season.
On May 4 and 11, a group of nine Northbridge International School Cambodia students from Grade 10 and 11 started their project of designing an activity room for The Rabbit School students studying at Toul Kork Primary School.
As part of the Nord Anglia Family, Northbridge International School Cambodia students have the privilege to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to Tanzania. This amazing trip will let our students collaborate with other members of the Nord Anglia family strengthening our Global Campus network of schools.
On 5 May, Northbridge International School Cambodia Paws Crossed members concluded their yearly mission of providing help to Phnom Penh Animal Welfare Society (PPAWS) in taking care of the dogs and cats that they shelter. They helped clean the cages, bathed the dogs, fed and played with the animals.
As an international school, Northbridge International School Cambodia values the rich diversity that different languages and cultures bring to an educational community. The EAL department supports English language learners as they acquire the level of English needed to communicate effectively in social situations at school and be academically successful in their classes.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that students from Northbridge International School Cambodia will once again have the opportunity to travel to Switzerland as part of Nord Anglia Education’s Switzerland Trekking Expedition programme.
Northbridge International School Cambodia students who are entering the Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12) in the 2019 academic year will have 4 new Mathematic courses to select from. These new courses reflect the exciting changes that are happening in the Mathematics department as a result of DP courses undergoing a curriculum review over a seven-year cycle.

You have pushed yourselves hard to reach this point in your education, and you should be very proud of the successes that you have already accomplished.
In April, I had the privilege of traveling to Sydney and Melbourne to visit some of the universities and catch up with some of our former Northbridge International School Cambodia students. Having a chance to catch up with them over a meal, or coffee was a great opportunity to get the inside story of what life in Australia is like for a NISC student.
With current Northbridge International School Cambodia Head of Secondary Mr Ben Holman moving to a new post within our Nord Anglia Education family of schools from the beginning of next academic year, we look forward to welcoming his replacement Ms Frances Morton, who joins us in August 2019.
In 1996, the American Academy of Poets established that April is Poetry Month. Schools all over the world take time in the month of April to celebrate poetic expression. At Northbridge International School Cambodia, MYP Language & Literature classes across all grade levels are investigating poetry as students focus on the creation, interpretation, and appreciation of poems.
