We have already planned and prepared so much for this semester and all under the wonderful guidance of our student leaders at Northbridge International School Cambodia.

Let me introduce them to you here:

  • Jiwoo Yum – Co-Ambassador
  • Seo Yun Jang – Co-Ambassador
  • Ximena Coster – Deputy Ambassador

We also have a core group of secretaries who are responsible for the leading of smaller focus groups within the team. They are:

  • Adrijaa Paul
  • Sambath Seddhini Ken
  • Sethinyta Ngan
  • Jillian Ferdian
  • Mayumi Escubil

One of our major focuses for this academic year is to help educate our students about the Global Campus. We want to raise awareness of the platform within our school and to try to establish a more regular use of the site. Our Global Campus student ambassadors are working on their plans to deliver mini tutorials to the advisories that will help guide students in how to access the website, where to go, and activities that they might find interesting.

It’s wonderful to see our students feeling empowered and wanting to take ownership over the education of their peers.

It is very exciting to announce that we will once again be able to celebrate World Childrens Day here on campus. Our team are currently working hard to design a series of different activities that our Nagas can get involved with. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of children's rights, and to highlight the importance of this generation for the future of our planet and survival.

Another significant event to celebrate is the reopening of our NAE expeditions! Here at NISC we are thrilled to be sending some of our Grade 10s students to the Tanzania Seeway expedition in February. The staff who will be leading them are a wonderfully strong team and include Jesse Donnelly, Katie Berkley and Socheata Yama.

Part of the requirement for attending this expedition is that they raise $400 for the Seeway Charity and our students have already begun to work on their fundraising in earnest. They have run a very successful event at our LEAP fair, where they were selling freshly made lemonade. More events will be following over the next few months – keep your eyes and ears open to see how you can help us.

Overall a lot to be excited for and we hope that you will continue to support us as we endeavor to make the Global Campus even stronger this year.
