Quinn

Congratulations Quinn on your amazing IGCSE results!

Celebrating one of our IGCSE 2019 highest achievers, Quinn. Below he shares his thoughts about completing the course and his achievements:

How was your experience doing IGCSEs in BIS Abu Dhabi?

My overall experience with IGCSE was a stressful one, however I feel that the school, especially the teachers that were at hand made it so that my hard work and stress over the Final exams ended in something I could feel proud of.  As well as just teaching us the course, the teachers seemed to engage themselves with us, helping wherever help was needed, and giving up their time to make sure we felt as prepared as we could for the exams. I recommend using the teachers support whenever it is offered, as they played a vital role in my understanding of the course and its content.

Are you happy with your results?

I am very happy with my results, especially as I got high marks in the subjects I wish to pursue, and have taken as higher-Level Subjects for IB. Such as History and English. Although, a few of my results were very close to the grade boundary, and so I am slightly disappointed that I lost those certain marks. Despite this I am still proud of my results, and hopefully I don’t lose those marks that put me just below a grade boundary in my IB final exams.

What are you plans for the future?

I plan on further studying History at University level. I’m interested in continuing history as I believe it gives an accurate prediction to the near future, as we can often see repetitions of ideologies, and events, and we can use this to explore how certain consequences led to major events. Despite this I am currently unsure of where this would take me in terms of careers, and plan on worrying about that at a later date.
