Dear Parents,

Welcome back after the Spring break. I trust that you all had an enjoyable and restful holiday and are looking forward to the term ahead. The students were delighted to see their friends again and to share the adventures they had on their holiday.  A significant number of parents were understandably delighted to wave their children into school on Sunday also!

A special welcome to the new families who join our community, I am confident that you will all settle quickly and take advantage of the fantastic opportunities our school and community have to offer. Every term is incredibly busy, the third term promises to be no different. Please keep abreast of our school website, newsletters and Facebook page in order to be fully informed of everything that is taking place.

Term three will see many of our older students sit their IGCSE and IB exams together with other year groups sitting end of year assessments. A balance of studying, getting enough sleep, down time and physical activity are equally important in order for our students to perform to their full potential at this important time. It may be prudent to remember that in the Year of Tolerance, as the temperatures rise and pressures increase, that to pause and take a breath may be the best way forward.

We also celebrate the Holy month of Ramadan this term and look forward to this very special time of the year.  Whilst always respectful of local customs in the UAE, please could we remind all parents to be particularly sensitive to eating, drinking and dress codes at this special time of the year.  Once dates are announced, we will of course update you with specific information relating to this and the operation of the school day.

We are looking forward to another busy and no doubt successful term and look forward to seeing you throughout the term.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
