BISAD’s first ever student-initiated podcast, is created by students for students, specifically future and current IB students. The podcast was created by a group of Year 12’s that wanted to find a way to help make the IB journey more enjoyable as we connect with the students of our community. Together with the help of Mrs Grange, we are truly enthusiastic about the opportunities that we will share.

We created this podcast in a way such that it takes a more casual and personal approach with the students towards the topics that will be discussed throughout this program. This podcast opens several opportunities for anyone that is involved. It is extremely helpful for all students as it focuses on handling IB life as well as any careers that we will take on afterwards. We also get to interact with our peers and seniors which forges relationships and encourage the exchange of helpful ideas amongst each other.

The podcast will include several segments relating to what IB students will experience and decisions they will have to make throughout the course of these 2 crucial years. We will speak with graduating students, alumni, professionals and teachers. It is not all about the podcast itself but our diverse team of student IT support and marketers, that help make this program even more exciting. We also take part in social media promotion and digital designing with help from the school’s marketing team.

We can all agree that we were anxious walking in on our first day as IB students, therefore, our aim is to be able to create a friendly source for all students to reach out to and for the younger year groups to feel more at ease as they become more aware of the processes. On the other hand, as participants of this podcasts it is a learning experience for us, and we also hope to engage ourselves more with better understanding and appreciation of the IB diploma.
