Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

The students are now settled into their new routines and working hard already. In line with other Nord Anglia schools, we are encouraging them to ‘Be Ambitious’ for themselves and aim for a year of successful academic progress and attainment.

As you may be aware, many of our teachers are completely new to NAISAK this year or perhaps they have been here a while but are new to your child. A successful partnership between home and school leads to success in the classroom. We, therefore, invite you to join us for our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event after school on Wednesday 11th September. Please do come along to the Gym after collecting your children. I will give a short speech at 2 pm to introduce myself to you all and to share with you some of our key messages for the year. One key messages will be the importance of attendance. No matter how wonderful our teachers, they cannot give your child the education they deserve if that student is absent from school. It is a requirement for our students to come to school regularly if they are to succeed at school and pass the year. This year, the ‘pass’ requirement will be 85% attendance. This means that, if your child fails to make 85% attendance, they will fail the year. You will hear this message often this year, as last year the attendance requirement seemed to catch some families by surprise. Remember – we cannot educate your child if your child is not in school. Please do talk to your child’s teacher about this requirement if you have any questions or concerns.

I look forward to meeting many of you on Wednesday at our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event.
