December is right around the corner and parents will be dressing Christmas trees in school on Thursday morning, 1 December 2016, from 08.00 a.m. We already have some volunteers but if you would like to join us and really get into the Christmas spirit, we’d love to see you. We will also be putting up some decorations in both canteens so there will be plenty to do.
I would like to remind you that there will not be a meeting of the PTG in December as it coincided with a parenting talk entitled “Raising Girls” which will be held on Wednesday, 7 December at 08.00 a.m. A talk entitled “Raising Boys” will take place the next day. I am sure there are still places available so if you are interested in attending either of these very interesting talks, please let the School Counsellor, Amy Bonehill (email@example.com) know.
Even though there will not be a meeting of the PTG, please do not think that the issues you have raised are forgotten. The PTG Committee has set up a working group to look at canteen issues to try and find some solutions to the problems of long lunch queues and unappetising menus. If you would like to be involved in this, please let us know by sending us an e-mail to PTGChair@standrews.ac.th
One member of the PTG Committee is also liaising with school’s Sustainability Committee to ensure that parents’ concerns are raised. This will link very closely with the work of the Lunch Working Group to address issues of menu choices and food wastage.
The Christmas Fair will be held on Thursday, 15 December 2016 and we still have some space available for vendors. If you would be interested in taking part, please let us know again by sending an e-mail to PTGChair@standrews.ac.th
Work is already under way for Community Day which will be held on Saturday, 4 February 2017. Lots more information will follow.
As ever, we are here to help in any way we can and welcome suggestions, ideas or concerns. Members of the PTG Committee are in school every day or you can reach us by e-mail on PTGChair@standrews.ac.th
