High School Music

Last week all parents received the following email regarding the schools Peripatetic Programme. The closing date for the survey to be completed is Wednesday 29 November.

Students who have signed up for the programme will be contacted shortly.

Dear Parents,

I am delighted to be contacting you regarding a major development within the High School Music Department. Very soon we will be offering Peripatetic (small group) lessons for a variety of instruments. This programme will run alongside the music provision already offered at St Andrews.

To launch the initiative we are aiming to offer Peripatetic lessons in Drums, Vocals (pop), Electric and Acoustic guitar (not classical), Trumpet, Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone and Violin.

The lessons offered are a great way to support students who are new to the school, who may need extra support in music or they would love vocal training etc. More advanced classes will also be offered and groups will be structured accordingly. Please note that a certain amount of students will be required for a class to take place.

The programme will be run in conjunction with Opus One Music School.

Prices for these lessons are 700 Baht per student for a 1 hour session and groups will have a maximum of four students. Lessons will be purchased in blocks of 10.

The lessons will be taught during the school day on a ‘rolling basis’ i.e.

Week 1, Tuesday Period 1.

Week 2, Tuesday Period 2 etc.

If you are interested in registering for the lessons please complete the below-linked survey form.

Finally, if you would like us to consider offering lessons in an instrument not stated above please let us know and we will look into it for phase 2.
