Primary Book week was great fun last week. There were many fantastic activities happening around school each day with everyone really excited about reading and literature. Thank you to all the primary staff who planned and worked so hard to put on all the different activities, which the children across the primary school enjoyed. Thank you to all our parents for helping their children with the wonderful costumes the children came to school in on Friday. There were some amazing ideas with everyone really looking great at our Book Character Parade.
Security and the Car Park
It has been great to see so many parents wearing their ID badges and swiping into and out of school. If you have visitors please sign them in and exchange ID for them to get them a visitor’s pass and be registered should we have a fire drill. There are two guards at our two main school entrances each morning and afternoon so they will be able to assist you quickly in signing guests into school. We have also asked them to challenge parents who do not have their badges clearly on display so everyone is following the school policy. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
Our staff also try to organise our main car park at the front of school and the off-site parking we have down Soi 20. At the opening and closure of school there are many parents and children crossing the main car park. We kindly ask that parents and drivers be especially careful while driving around the car park. I know this is at times a slow experience and if spaces appear or a pathway to the exit becomes available naturally one wishes to speed up to make the most of the opportunity. However please do not put others’ safety at risk as you move into car parking spaces or out through the school entrances. I know everyone in our school community takes the safety of everyone using the parking facilities seriously, so please take extra care.
Next week we look forward to our school Songkran Festival, which will take place on Wednesday, April 5. The day will start with making merit by offering food to a group of visiting monks from one of the local temples near our school, followed by assemblies. On Thursday 6th April the school is closed for the Chakri Day holiday and our staff will be undertaking a range of different training opportunities.
