Primary School Library: Book Week inspires love of reading

St Andrews International School Bangkok celebrated Book Week in style with lots of different activities taking place in the Library.

This long-awaited event is an annual celebration of books and authors and it is our aim to inspire an enhanced love of reading through sharing books and activities which will connect our readers with new and classic stories which enhance their joy of reading.

Book Week Visit by Karin Littlewood

We were very lucky to have a visiting illustrator/author from the UK, Karin Littlewood, who was here all week. working with the children and sharing her wonderfully visual books including ‘Immi’ which Karin signed for many of the students

Our New and Used Book Sale was very successful with more than 120,000 baht worth of books being sold. Our Library-based events were very popular including our Treasure Hunt, Mystery Books, Library Cinema, Reading Passports AND the Pop Up Book workshop with Khun Athi.  We enjoyed seeing everyone’s costumes and made a few of our own on Book Character Day!
