Staff Profiles: Sasha Kumar

Mathematics Teacher

I worked in Melbourne, Australia until 2016 then I moved to London, UK to teach until August 2020. Since then I have been working in Thailand.

I am originally from Melbourne, Australia but I have moved around throughout my life. This has made me love traveling and experiencing new cultures, which is what motivated me to move to Thailand. In my spare time I love to read, cook and exercise. Music is a strong passion of mine since I have been playing instruments since the age of 3.

My main instrument now is the trombone but I can also play the piano and violin. I also love to explore the world we live in and am a firm believer in life long learning. I see travel as a way to develop a globalised view of the world. Lastly, I am a huge NBA fan and am waiting for the Spurs to bring a championship back to San Antonio.

It emphasises the importance of developing holistically through an inclusive education.
