I graduated from The University of Leicester in 1998 with a P.G.C.E in Primary Education, specializing in Early Years. I have worked all over the UK and the world, including Somerset, London, Yorkshire and Melbourne, Australia. I also taught for 2 years in an Elementary school in Greensboro as part of the Visiting International Faculty Program.
This experience only made my love of teaching abroad stronger and when the opportunity arose to teach at BISC, I jumped at the chance. My husband is American, with family in the western part of North Carolina, so Charlotte was the ideal location for us.
I have 2 daughters who both attend BISC and, in my spare time, I love to join in on their fun. I am an avid reader and can often be found either reading to someone or finding 5 minutes to read another chapter of my latest book. I hope to share this love of reading with all the children I teach. I also love to dine out and continue to enjoy discovering new restaurants in the greater Charlotte area.
Here at BISC, the focus really is on the children and their progress, but in a way that is fun and motivating. I have seen children go from strength to strength at BISC as their teachers find the right learning style to complement their progression. This truly is an international school with a huge amount of cultures and languages represented. I am proud to be part of this wonderful community.
