I had my first taste of teaching and life in the U.S. in the summer of 2005, when I worked at summer camp in Roscoe, New York teaching art and design, as well as being a camp counselor to children aged between 6 – 11. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at camp and knew then I had a passion for working with children and would one day love to teach.
After completing my B.A. Honors degree in Media and Television Production, I was employed as a New Media Producer at Chelsea Football Club. As a huge football (soccer) fan, this was a dream job for me. After 7 brilliant years at Chelsea, I decided to pursue my ambition to teach.
After gaining my Teaching Qualification, I worked in a wonderful school in Essex before relocating to London, teaching year 1 classes in both schools.
To be living and working in the U.S. is an absolute dream, and with the support and guidance from the school and local community, I feel like I have settled into life in Charlotte seamlessly. I feel very lucky to be part of a fantastic team of people where it is evident that the school goes above and beyond to create an exciting, stimulating and personalized experience for the children to grow and learn.
In my spare time, I love traveling to new places, as well as spending time with a good book, painting and watching my soccer team play!
