Suzhou Junior Football Tournament

One of the biggest international school tournaments in the East China region, the boys entered into the top division. Competing against Dulwich Suzhou, Shanghai and Suzhou Kickers, the boys put in a fantastic effort and competed in some very close games. The boys progressed into the semi-final and defeated Dulwich Seoul 3-1 to secure a place in the final. In the final we met Dulwich Suzhou again who we had narrowly lost 1-0 to in the days opener. After racing into a 1-0 lead early on, Suzhou equalised before going ahead. With four minutes to go, BSN were chasing the game and levelled the scores at 2-2. Only seconds later, Dulwich raced up the pitch and the BSN goalkeeper pulled off an outstanding save, but Suzhou followed up the rebound first to lead 3-2 with only three minutes left. Despite their best efforts and late pressure from the BSN team, Suzhou held firm in defence and won a thrilling contest. The BSN boys were disappointed with the result but proud of their efforts and looking forward to the next tournament next month. Well done to all those involved.
