I have always had a love of Mathematics and Science and chose to study Biochemistry at the University of Bath in England. I then went on to further study at the University of Liverpool where I gained my Ph.D. in Genetics and Biochemistry. After studying, I worked at a hospital, screening for genetic disorders.
When my children were little, I studied part time for a degree in Mathematics and Physics. I have worked as a teacher of Maths and Science for more than 10 years and have experience as a university lecturer, in addition to teaching in schools and colleges. In addition to maths and science, my hobbies include ballet, violin, crochet and Pokemon!
