Science Teacher

Bachelor of Science, Chemistry, University of Exeter, UK

PGCE, University of Bristol, UK.

I graduated from the University of Exeter with an honours degree in Chemistry and for a few years worked in environmental analysis before training as a teacher by completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Chemistry and Integrated Science) at the University of Bristol in 1993.

I have worked extensively in Chemistry departments in schools in the UK (mainly in the South West of the country), Spain, China, Oman, Vietnam and Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Outside of school I like exploring my locale on foot and bicycle. I have already explored areas of Nanjing, a city which seems more beautiful than where I was living during my first time in China and I hope to visit more provinces (I have visited half of them so far). I also enjoy travelling in other countries, spending time in mountain scenery (sometimes climbing the mountains), snorkeling, cycling, and listening to and playing music.
